Lost & Found by [archiveofourown.org profile] UrbanAmazon (The Bourne Legacy)
Marta/Aaron; teen; future fic; 3678 words
Summary: "I was kind of hoping we were lost." -- Marta's words come back to haunt them both, as innocent words often do. Marta and Aaron try to shift gears from fight and flight into something resembling a life together. Unfortunately, there's not any transition program for fugitives.

The Senior Prank by [archiveofourown.org profile] Liviania (Shield)
Gen; FitzSimmons, Hill, Coulson; backstory/humor; 1020 words
Summary: Fitz and Simmons know just how they're going to prank everybody at the Academy.

Here, Now by [archiveofourown.org profile] octopedingenue
Summary: Aaron thinks too much.
Marta/Aaron; teen; 2563 words
Aaron said carefully, "You're a survivor. I respect that."
"Is that what you think this is?" Marta said. "Some kind of, of Stockholm syndrome where I'm the poor victim who's fallen in love with her kidnapper, because I don't have a choice? Because I'm a survivor."
"I just want you safe," Aaron said, because he was an idiot who couldn't stop talking.

Has anyone read Black Widow: Itsy Bitsy Spider? On a scale of 0-10, how would you rank it? (10 being The Name of the Rose.)
I was a tad disappointed by Hawkeye&Mockingbird: Widowmaker. It wasn't terrible by all means, but somehow the characters fell a little flat for me. I actually enjoyed the movie tie-in Black Widow Strikes a lot more, and that in spite of the gratuitous underwear shots.

I want Natasha to get her own series, man.

series update: Methods of Melting: part 4 by [fanfiction.net profile] eicarG (Bourne Legacy)
Marta/Aaron UST; missing scenes; rated T; 4 parts, ~6,000 words together

Another missing scene, this one for the end of the movie... which is awfully abrupt and really asking for one. This ficlet is my favorite take on it - I really love this writer's style and their insight into the characters. I would be beyond thrilled if they wrote a post-movie fic dealing with all the lose threads. But for now, these missing scenes are like very tasteful, high-end appetizers. (I recommend the previous three as well!)

Avengers:
Chasing the Light by [archiveofourown.org profile] sarea
Natasha/Clint; medical drama/backstory/partnership; rated teen; 13428 words
Summary: A mission that goes awry tests two assassins and their partnership.

Tense and emotional; I was on the edge of my seat.

Bourne Legacy:
Gravity (all God needs to hold me) by [archiveofourown.org profile] Anuna
Aaron/Marta; character study/romance; 4446 words
Summary: Aaron Cross doesn't exist anywhere, except in his own head; without chemicals he would perish from there as well. Nothing would be left of him – not even a scratch on his skin.

she blinded me with political science by [archiveofourown.org profile] thingswithteeth
Summary: Darcy watched the Avengers defend New York from over two thousand miles away. She could look out her window if she wanted to watch the aftermath. She watches the news instead, and realizes one very important thing: the Avengers have a bit of a PR problem.
WIP; Darcy/Bruce and ensemble; friendship/romance/science bros; rated M; ~50,000 words

I've been waiting for this story to be updated so I could rec it. I fear it might have been abandaned but, it feels like the story is in a place where all that's missing is an epilogue, so the reader isn't left hanging biting their nails. I shall hence rec it as is. It's one of my favorite Darcy stories and it would be a shame to miss out on 50k words of pure entertainment because of the WIP factor. I really like how the writer developed Darcy's character.

Let's make it a theme: WIP day.
Here's a Bourne fic which is a series of missing moments. The characterization is so compelling, the scenes really add something new. So far two parts are posted and I'm looking forward to more. Each part can be read on its own.
Methods of Melting by [fanfiction.net profile] eicarG
Summary: "What was it like?" she whispers. "Your life, before the chems. Your mind, your thoughts."
Aaron&Marta; missing scenes; rated T; 2,288 words

Another Bourne Legacy fic, set post-movie, which I read last night and enjoyed a lot. It's got a great flow and I really hope it's going to be updated because the plot is just gaining speed.
Half the Battle Won by [fanfiction.net profile] skytyne
Summary: For the moment, Aaron Cross and Marta Shearing have managed to evade their pursuers, but they are still injured and direction-less.
Aaron/Marta; drama/romance; rated K; ~17,000 words

Belong by [archiveofourown.org profile] shell
Summary: The first phase in any mission is always reconnaissance, and he hadn't done nearly enough. "If we could settle somewhere, what kind of work do you think you'd want to do?" he asked her casually over breakfast the next morning.
Aaron/Marta; post-movie; rated teen; 8942 words

Wonderful character exploration. Once the smoke clears Aaron and Marta set out to build a real life for themselves -- except Aaron has no idea how to live rather than survive.

if you want to sing out by [archiveofourown.org profile] Siria
Summary: Aaron and words.
Aaron/Marta; genre: backstory/character study/UST; rated teen; 1076 words
Kenneth had struggled with the mysteries of chapter books, but Aaron—Aaron could comprehend tactical reports and weapons manuals and speed-read his way through thick paperback novels. The first volume of poetry he'd read had left him stunned, near breathless at the realisation that there could be songs without music.

Two Sides of One Coin by [archiveofourown.org profile] tenacious_err

Bourne Legacy rec: Learning To Live by [archiveofourown.org profile] angelskuuipo
Aaron/Marta; character study/first time; rating: teen; 1090 words
Summary: He’s learning to live as himself, learning what he likes. Maybe he should have mentioned that sooner?

And speaking of Bourne Legacy, here's an interesting Behind The Scenes video. The parts I find most interesting start around 4:00 - some fight choreography, and then the wall running. (More of that in part 2 which is linked there.)
One of the things I love about this movie is the fact that JRenner did most of the stunts himself, and really sells it. I mean, it's not just that he does that wall run without a double; it's that he makes it look effortless.

I updated my Avengers recs master list and it's now up-to-date again. At least on the Dreamwidth side - looks like the LJ post would go past the word limit so I'll add future updates only to the DW post.

Avengers fic: Magnetic by [archiveofourown.com profile] boombangbing
Steve(/Tony/Pepper) and background team; PG-13; 17941 words
Summary: Tony and Pepper are in a committed relationship, everyone knows that. Tony still flirts relentlessly with Steve, though, and Steve doesn't know what to make of it. Then he starts having weird feelings about Pepper too, and he really, really doesn't know what to make of that.

I liked this one. It has a brittle quality to the characterizations. Normally I go to Steve, Tony and Pepper fic for humor. So this was different than expected... but compelling. I could feel all the connections between the three, subtle as they are, so the OT3 factor worked for me really well.

Bourne Legacy ficlet: Rewritten by [livejournal.com profile] cybermathwitch
Gen-ish; Marta, Aaron; 348 words
Summary: They rewrite each other.

You guys, can you point me to some Bourne Legacy fic? Gen or Aaron/Marta, self-pimps are cool. I'm digging my way through ffn and AO3 but there's not a lot. I'm hoping there's stuff on LJ I haven't seen.

The film ending the way it did, it left me with the spontaneous desire to read about a hundred thousand words of Bourne fic.

Finally saw The Bourne Legacy and loved it. I'm really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. no plot spoilers but I'm putting it under a cut just in case. )

Looking for more, I went on AO3 and found a cool fic with a scenario that would work well in a movie sequel:
War-King Wounded by [archiveofourown.org profile] Irony_Rocks
Aaron Cross/Marta Shearing and Jason Bourne; post-Legacy; Rated M; 7917 words
Summary: In Aaron’s way of thinking, it’s a simple enough strategy. He and Marta can’t breathe until they figure out the scope of the problem, and in order to do that, they have no choice but to go the source: Jason Bourne.
