Rec of the day
Finally saw The Bourne Legacy and loved it. I'm really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. The plot is pretty simple and straightforward even when the flashbacks pretend it isn't but it worked fine for me because this movie is all about the characters. (And the parkour. But mostly the characters.) Aaron and Marta are both great characters, compelling and three-dimensional, and I enjoyed their chemistry together*. If there's no sequel I'd be sorely disappointed because this movie is clearly setup for more.
*The handholding. Omg the handholding. Holy shit, seriously. Screen kisses tend to leave me pretty meh, always have - I can take 'em or leave 'em - but I was melting at the handholding.
Looking for more, I went on AO3 and found a cool fic with a scenario that would work well in a movie sequel:
