This rec's technically a re-run but there're new people here, and I'm in the mood for a classic, so...
Lately I've been feeling the Buffy & Angel nostalgia muchly - I watched Doppelgangland with some friends the other day, and we all agreed that the magic is still there. ♥ So anyway, today I was reading the start of a Leverage/Angel crossover and was reminded how much I loved that show, so I went to Youtube and found that one of my all-time favorite vids is still up. It shows up at #3 when you search for 'angel trailer':
Angel Trailer by Robert Flannigan
It's mostly a season five vid - with huge spoilers for the series ending - and it captures the essence of the season, but of the show as well. The narrative structure is great; the overlaid dialog woven through the scenes... I especially love the part where Wesley tells Illyria, "There's hope that you'll find something worthy," and the camera cuts to that last scene of Angel talking with Connor. All of it accompanied by the theme from 'Chosen', from the Buffy finale (which is beautiful in its own right). I've watched this vid endless times and never get bored with it.
