I got a sunburn. Normally that wouldn't make me happy but, I just spent a few hours at the canal, swimming and reading fanfic and even working a little. It was glorious and I'm happy. A thunderstorm is predicted to hit in a few hours and then the brief summer interlude will be over. I want to go buildering while the ground is still dry; only three or four meters are missing from my pet project. Gotta make sure I won't miss the tiny window between 'too hot for climbing' and 'too wet for climbing'. Seize that day for all it's worth.

The route traverses the building, it's a really cool climb. Looks undramatic because you're never more than a meter above ground, but it's technically very versatile. Here's the backside, that's the tricky part; the straight wall on the left is the only part I haven't figured out yet. (7- my ass)

Team fic:
In Great Transition by [archiveofourown.org profile] vain_glorious
Gen; PG-13; team/friendship; 3829 words
Summary: One by one, the Avengers move into Stark Tower.
“Thor is naked,” Natasha warns. “Laundry day, I think.”
“Why don’t you ever do that?” Tony asks her.
“I asked him to cover up and he put on his cape,” Bruce says. “But it’s in the back, so.”

Avengers vids:
You and me and your friend Steve
Steve/Tony; Pepper POV
Okay - that is hilarious. The song could've been written for that vid.

"Reaching as I Fall" Hawkeye & Trickshot
Summary: While on a mission, Clint sees his brother amongst the criminals he was sent to kill.

When I read "Hawkeye and Trickshot" I was wondering how she was gonna pull that off... and she did. Cool montage, using a bunch of sources with convincing effect.

Managed to go buildering before the thundershower hit (which didn't come with thunder after all) but the humidity was so high that my fingers kept slipping off the stone. This is just not the year for outdoor climbing.
