[to see you there] by Feather/
lalaietha (Avengers movieverse)
The fic is posted as a series but it's practically one story; part 2 starts right where part 1 leaves off.
Part 1: [got fourteen angels]
Natasha/Clint; PG-13; movie tag; 1624 words
Summary: They know each other too well.
Natasha/Clint (main), Bruce/Betty Ross, Pepper/Tony; PG-13; 10639 words
summary: "Yes," Natasha says. "It's Dr Ross."
"And now you want to go find her and recruit her," Clint says, just to get it out in the air. You have to admire Natasha, really. No matter what or who she runs into, she will obsessively hunt until she finds a way to neutralize them. And she's good at thinking outside the box and knowing that "neutralize" doesn't necessarily mean "kill, concuss or capture."
Now, I think Joss did amazing things with Black Widow - so much so that she somehow almost single-handedly manages to make up for the general lack of X-chromosome in the movie. (That's what I call a superpower, yo.) Anyway, in this story I immensely enjoyed watching Natasha set out to recruit Betty Ross. Who I didn't know but whose character clicked for me quickly and feels like a great addition to the ensemble (chemistry wise, and not just because it evens out the gender balance a bit more).

Natalia wants to sigh. She'd sigh, she thinks, if that kind of thing were natural anymore - if she had any involuntary reactions. But by the time the feeling gets all the way through filters and out where she could act on it, it's too deliberate, too false, too much like acting.Part 2: [far from here we are all right]
