Favorite(s) of the batch: That might be the mobilé
Best of the batch: That's a tough one. This year I haven't got something like the Ronon&Todd drawing that made me go, "wow, I drew this?"
Hm, I'd probably pick Fear of the Dark. It's not as flawless or polished as I'd have liked it to be because with so many panels, it's hard to give every single one the attention I'd give a oneshot. Still, I think it turned out well.
Most underappreciated by the universe: Actually, I can't complain. The one thing that I thought would be a contestant for this title (the comic) got really great comments.
(Of all my fanart over the years, the clear winner in this category is Synth, the Angel&Gunn&Fray gen comic I made with Yhlee. I'm pretty convinced I could've got more comments for a ten-minute drawing of shirtless!Spike than I got for the 12 pages of comic.)
Most fun to draw: Tie between 'The Black Lake' and the mobilé
Sexiest ficartwork: Everything's still very very gen, as you can see. ;) But I hope I manged to get some sexiness into the romantic dancing pic... (the actual orgy is taking place somewhere else on Atlantis, in case you were wondering where Vala, Daniel, and Radek are.)
"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic: still nothing. Maybe next year.
Hardest to draw: The romantic dancing. Never drawn romance. Or dancing. And I generally avoid scenes with more than a handful of recognizable characters 'cuz that's work. ;) Plus there was the conflict of having the characters recognizable and still give an impression of the setting. Mind, I'm happy with the result. Still, wondering whether I should've gone with a bird's view here...
Year-end squee: Well, I don't want to jinx anything but I was feeling pretty down about this fandom at the beginning of the year, and now I'm not. Right now I'm all a-flail to get my sga_santa and Big Bang's read, and my to-rec list is so long that I don't know where to start... and that's a good kind of flailing.
What's next: I was just thinking that I would like to draw a one-page comic to get back into the swing of it. For at least two weeks I've been completely stuck because I can't continue with the job I'm working on until I get the greenlight for my sketches, and they seem to be really overwhelmed with work on the other end. It's just wrong if the artist is bugging the editor and not vice versa. This would have been a great time to work on a private comic project or make fanart or just practice drawing, but instead I was just aimlessly flittering from project to project and getting very little done. (At least the new computer is now up and running.)
