The Stargate Fan Awards are open for voting. I have two pieces in there, In the Pale Moonlight and The Long Way Home. They created a special category for illustrated fic, where TLWH fits much better, of course. It's in good company, too. :)

Status of Fear of the Dark: The final pages are colored. I still have to scan them and add a few special effects, but I'll take my time with that... no idea if anybody is even online this weekend? I'll post the complete comic tomorrow.

In non-fannish news, the other day me and a friend came across a little concrete column, about three meters high, that serves as an artificial rock for climbers... you know, one of the things that look like someone has stuck large bits of colorful chewing gum on the sides. We climbed up and down that thing a couple times and decided that that was the most fun we had in a while (which is not a comment on the state of our lives; it really was that much fun *g*.) Also, day after, the most impressive case of sore muscles I had in a while. So now we want to go to the climbing center and learn belayed climbing on the large wall. We've visited our little rock a few times more since (no sore muscles this morning :) but it's bound to get boring soon.

I'm really annoyed that SGA got cancelled. Yeah, yeah, nothing new there... but we're nearing the time where the new season would have started airing and I'm just so annoyed that they wasted a show with healthy ratings and a dedicated fan base for their shiny new thing. Nonetheless, I hope Universe will succeed. If only because SGA fandom might profit from it. :P And, who knows, might even be watchable. I'm trying not to resent it too much.

(Is there anything to the rumor that the Starcrossed project will happen and Joe Flanigan and Chris Judge may be in it? 'Cause I'm telling ya, that'd go a long way toward improving my fannish mood. Throw in Amanda Tapping and the fangirl in me will be ecstatic.)

Also, we watched the pilot of SG1 and I think I may be a little hooked. I mean, I watched a few of the later seasons - bought all the box sets that have McKay episodes in them - but I was never properly sucked into it. Watching it chronologically from the beginning is a much better idea.

It's finished! So I'm posting. Well, strictly speaking it's not Monday yet. But, I want to get this out there before the thunderstorm forces me to shut down my computer. It already flickered a little when that last lightning struck.
