Heh. On G*ldberg's most recent fanfic post I stumbled over a comment that made no sense even after the third reading (It's from Mark York, whom regular watchers of that blog will recognize): She's anything but pleasant in her style attacking me so I disagree. Maybe she's only nice to women? Micah's bifurcation is unqualified. The permitted fanficcers and in a distinct minority, except in the work itself. It's all the same in that regard.

No idea what he's saying even though I have read the post he's referring to - but anyway, it's not like I care and it's not the reason why I'm posting. I immediately had to think of Loriot's "Bundestagsrede" (Parliament Speech). Which I googled. It's in German, sort of, and it's a true classic... who knows, maybe there're actually German speakers here who don't know this jewel yet. *youtubelinks*

In other news, I just came back from visiting the twice-yearly diploma exhibition at my old art school. Very interesting, high-quality work this semester, very diverse - works ranged from kids' book illu and high-concept scientific illustration to animated movies and wildly expressive art books. A few years ago when computers really took hold, for a while there all the final works seemed interchangble... slick, professional but (to my eyes) bland design. No trace of that to be found now. This was fun. And I'll get to work on the comic now...
