In case the BBF no-mailers among you have missed it: starting next Friday, the 29th, we'll once again be selecting fics for the archive. This time there'll be whole week to read and browse. All the details are in this post.
I booked my flight to San Diego. My first time at comic con. I have no idea what to expect, except, HUGE. Fortunately,
jwaneeta will be there as well. :o) I also rented a car for the trip north after the con. Gah, parking! So far I've always relied on public transportation in America, I'm not used to even think about details like where to find a parking space. But of course a car will have a lot of advantages. Like, I can bring my rollerblades! Rollerblading in California, baby! Live the cliché :).
My Japanese translation of Harry Potter 3 arrived yesterday. That was the best idea I had in a while. This is, like, the first time I can read a Japanese text instead of decypher it. Reading this is actually fun instead of a struggle. There're still plenty of words I don't know, but I can just ignore them and still get the meaning of the sentence. So, struggling with a foreign language? Try Harry Potter! (or, I guess, a kid's book of your choice)
