Over the weekend I finished the covers for the two books I illustrated earlier this year... finally, two things I can cross off my to-do list. There was actual hopping-through-the-room after I was done. Also, bouncing up and down. I can't post the scans yet which sucks because I'm insanely happy with the artwork and want to share it with the world. Ah well.

plaidder is serializing one of her original novels in her lj: 'Better To Burn' is the prequel to her 'Women On Fire' fantasy series. All four novels, set in the world of Ideire, are excellent. I don't read much original fiction these days, but her stories gripped me immediately, I was pretty much unable to put them down.

BBFA should go back up in, hm, two or three weeks? I want to take care of it before I go on vacation. It looks like I'll have finished my current project in two-three weeks, after which I can take some time off to do the archive thing and (urgh) my taxes. landrews, littleheaven70, and psychofilly have kindly offered a subdomain at their archive site, which takes care of the main problem. Hopefully it won't take long until we're back in business.

In the meantime, if you have trouble finding a particular story, just let me know; I got them all on my HD.
