Gllb. Is there smoke coming out of my ears yet?

Must find out how to get a frame around the page, but I have about 10 minutes left to get some food... gonna crosspost to
(eta: found food. found out how to fix border.)
(eta2: oops. Forgot Angel's scars. *mental note: add manly scars later*)

This is perfect. And seeing Angel and Spike together, as God intended, sends my heart into blissful birdsong. :D

Are you lettering this by hand or Quark?
Hand. I don't even have Quark on my computer though at times I sorely miss it. Word is inadequate for typography. I'll have to go hunting on ebay.
I think even if I had Quark I'd still hand-letter. I like traditional techniques. I still learned calligraphy at art school. Nowadays the freshman start right away with Quark. I suppose that approach works as well, but calligraphy comes in handy at times, and it's fun.
For convention's sake I'll mention Heroic Proportions. In comicdom the male is, oh, hell, 9 or 10 heads high, proportionally. Trust me, this project is so good, in so many ways, that no one will ever give a toss, but if job-wise you ever consider comics (I hope in many ways you dont, because it's massively a bitch) you might hear something about heroic proportions.
Yeah, I know of these proportions. And struggle with them continually. Possibly because I'm coming from children's books where you got more like a 7-8 to 1 ration (to a six-year-old, even a teenager will look grown up). Personally I find 9-10 rather extreme though, I think that applies to US comics rather than to European which I grew up on. But I think it would still be a good idea for me to aim for that, and maybe end up in the middle at a comfortable 8 heads.

Spike and Angel together is a thing of beauty. Snark and dislike and aggression on the outside with some hidden, unexplored and totally denied feelings on the inside... what more does a fangirl want. I know far from everyone agrees but I think getting Spike on Angel (ahem, the show) was a brilliant move.

I think I have read to much fanfic, but my eyes focused first on Spikes text and then i quickly scanned the rest of the page, and then I had brief thought that it was another body part Angel had lost (I know!, I have read to much fanific)

That would have been one hell of a sneeze.
Very nicely done, how long does it take to make one page with coloring and all ?.
Um, I calculate roughly three days per page of comic artwork: one for each pencils, inks and colour. Then you got the basic layout and lettering, but those don't take that long.
Of cours that's all just an average estimation... the colours for this last page took me at least twelve hours. Rule of thumb: it always takes longer than estimated. *groans*

I wish I could finish that other page but I've been out of town yesterday, and again tomorrow while all I want to do is draw comics.

And hey, did I tell you that I've actually started a comic project myself? For a fanzine we're publishing in a few months. It's all about the adventures of Xander at the Fabulous Ladies Night Club ;)

Hopefully it will all turn out good.

Actually the icon I was referring to was another one, but it was gone just when my reply posted. It was the one with Joss saying, "I got this thing" and you saying "I'm your slave"... something like that? But this one's neat as well.
It's going to be in Hebrew, but I very possibly will translate it to English and post it somewhere when it's done. Right now i'm having trouble liking the "art" the "artist" we found is producing... :(
Hopefully it will all turn out good.
Eh. The joys of teamwork? Well, I keep my fingers crossed (and yay for English translation).

Re: Teamwork - yeah. I don't actually feel that this guy is on the team. He was sort of a default, so we're stuck with him. He's just very very young and I have a hard time working with kids (which happens a lot around fandom). Example: when I said I'd like him to send me a frame - character, backgrounds and all - as an example of what he can do, and suggested a rough draft is fine at this stage (didn't want to pressure him), he actually wrote me: "fyi - I don't make drafts. I do the frame and if it's not what you wanted I'll make another." That's when I knew he is not on the mature side. I think only really young, inexperienced people (or genius artists) can afford to say they make no drafts. But whatever. Sorry I'm ranting, need to vent :)
Re: yey for translation....
Would you consider, when your amazing comic is done, letting me translate to Hebrew and posting on my site....? Eternal fame in Israel awaits you! (but totally no hard feelings if you don't want to :)

What, ink and all? Colour, too???

Or people who got way too much time on their hands. I mean, my drafts are not too rough, since it increases chances that the client will like it if it's already quite detailed... not always can people imagine the finished artwork from a rough draft. But to send a finished frame, that's... not really clever.

Are you kidding? I'd be honoured! A translation into Hebrew, that's just so cool! It's gonna take a few months, though. Maybe I can get it finished by April, that'd be nice.
