Here is the first page of Rheanna's and my new comic. I'll be posting as WIP, adding new pages to this post as I finish them (and tinkering with the ones already posted...)

I haven't actually done the full page breakdown yet, I got carried away drawing the first page. Nine pages is a rough estimate.

Ohhhh, new comic! YAY! Why is she back home? Just visiting or for good? I love that beadspread! Or is it a quilt? And I will probably never get used to the combination of bacon, eggs and pancakes. LOL

Yep, something like that. I was about to do something really intricately quilt-ish, with a nice pattern, but then I realized that I wasn't masochistic enough for that...

And I will probably never get used to the combination of bacon, eggs and pancakes. LOL

Yay, new comic! The nightmare opening panel is very cool.

Thanks. The nightmare panel was the easy part. Tentacles are definitely quicker to draw than interior spaces.

(btw, I can't remember if I gave a final review on the last comic -- I think it ended while I was in my fandom hiatus this winter -- but I did love it!)

Yeah, I'll probably bring some original stuff. But at this point all my original work is still children's book illustration. Though, I plan to get into original comic after all. Soon... ish. Eventually. :)

By the way,have you ever been to the big comic festival in Angouleme, in France? (I think that's where the 24-hour comic day originated, too?)

It looks fabulous -- I especially like the detail in the bedroom panel: the shelves with the books and the stuffed toy, the colours in the bedspread and the flowers in the vase.

(Oops, we still need a summary, too... :D)

I keep forgetting about those, don't I? Will think on this...

The original colors were, um, crimson and pink. It didn't even look half bad, but when I tinkered with it in Photoshop to dim down the colors, I shifted the color spectrum around just for fun and it really looks much better this way.

Beautiful layout, great title font. Just lovely, the whole page. :D

Ironically my normal handwriting is getting more sloppy all the time, to the point where I have trouble deciphering it myself.

Also, I love the juxtaposition between Jennifer's night-time fears and then the homey breakfast and dad in the next section.

Oh, very nice! Love the house and Jennifer's room and dad!Keller looks like such a nice guy!

Hee. In that one framed picture in Identity, Keller's dad was played by Carl Binder. So that's of course who I modeled him after in this comic. TPTB, that's what happens when you go all meta. ;)

I hope I'll have the next page out soon, too. I'm waiting for a client to send over some work and I don't think anything's gonna happen until after the Easter holidays... and I'm not the least bit grumpy because that means I get to draw comic without feeling guilty.
