art pic dump

I was throwing out a bunch of old photographs today and came across some photos of illustrations I did ages ago - sometime in the last century - for Offset Litho class. The theme was 'Bestiarium' and I picked The Hunting of the Snark. Hey, there may be a Lewis Carroll fan reading this, who knows. So here... have some beasties.

These are scans of photographs of prints, picture quality isn't too bad though. I re-did the typography... still not great but better than before (Helvetica, ugh, what on earth was I thinking).

... and, back to avoiding then internets - haven't watched This Mortal Coil yet.

This is what it looks like (http://www.amazon.com/Hunting-Snark-Cast-London/dp/B00000IIT0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1197281865&sr=8-2). And wow, the thing sells for over 80 bucks right now. If you ever happen to come across that CD at a decent price, I can only recommend it. And I said Roger Daltry, but actually Mike Batt is the composer. One of my favorite composers, too... he is always very quirky and original, and his music fits the poem to a tee.
