another prompt reply... crysothemis asked for the team with some weird alien animal. The first thing that came to mind was Ronon & rest of team battling some scary slimy, scaly thing. With tentacles. But I'd actually had this idea before and the prompt fit it, so I'm doing this one first:


This one actually takes place in the gateroom. I think I'll do the background in PS this time, I imagine that could really work well. Haven't found screencaps for this yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to find one of the gateroom, one of Rodney looking freaked out, and one of Sheppard grimacing.

Also (completely unrelated) but I have tv again. After being tv-less for over two months I lost my nerve and called a specialist to adjust my satellite dish. For five years all I needed to do was wave the antenna around a bit to lock onto the satellite, but this time it took even the technician with his little gadget (want!) half an hour to locate the thing. Anyway. Right now I'm getting none of the channels I'm remotely interested in, just BBC, couple news channels, infomercials... someone must've screwed up with my sky subscription, but at least I'm getting something.

Thanks for posting a sketch, I mostly have only seen your finished work. I love how solid your pencils are before they are painted. Mine are usually kind of loose and messy.

You should check out jasonlatour's LJ... he posts sketches regularly, and a few weeks back he also had a few posts of pencil sketches colored in Photoshop that looked great.

I don't know which bit I love most - Sheppard's pained expression, the little Jim Henson critter humping Rodney's leg, or the partial leg emerging from the gate behind them. :-)

At first I wanted to draw Sheppard laughing his ass off, but then I figured that after his experience with the life-sucking bug he might not be very partial to little critters that cling to people. Even if they look kind of cute.
