pics
this one's acrylics on paper bag ^_^. (I'd printed the inked sketch on the paper, and made a few edits to the coloring in PS.) I forgot how much fun it is to work with that kind of paper. I'd stopped using it because it changes color under sunlight, but I'm gonna get another roll of packaging paper.
Yesterday me and the roomies were invited to a party of 'Vampire' live-action role players. We weren't required to play, fortunately; we were invisible observers.
Okay, RP of any kind doesn't do much for me. But. 20 people in costumes. Standing around a lot of the time. And I had brought my sketch book. Hehehe. (I so wished I'd also thought of bringing a few decent brush pens or markers to speed things up; as it was I was stuck with a pencil and a fine-line edding, but better than nothing!)
And while I'm with the pic-spam... this one I took from our front yard the other day.
This isn't manipped, the sky really looked like that.
Man, I finished a job a few days ago, and until now I was too lethargic to even scan in the pages and send them off. I really should get to that next before doing anything else.

Kinda reminds me of this one that I took out of our upstairs window. Little did I know there was a tornado coming out of the bottom of it at the time!
I hope this image tag works...

I got another pic from that same evening which looks even weirder, but it's on my other computer...

Also, I didn't mention it before, but your quick sketches are stunningly fabulous. They have so much character and gesture. I really love them.

Glad you like them.

Thanks. It took a little while to get that technique down, but once you got the hang of it it saves a whole lot of time. I don't really have the patience any more to do photorealistic likenesses. This is much more fun!
