I'm utterly in love with Lim's fandom vid Us; lost count of the number of times I've re-watched it. So I checked this one out even though I never watched an episode of SGA and usually don't read fic or watch vids for shows I don't know - they tend to just not do much for me, no matter how technically perfect they may be. But this clicked for me right away. It's so quirky and original, and the characters are so engaging that I'm all set on giving SGA a try next time it's on... and, well, it's technically perfect. It meshes graphics and clips in a way that works great for the story.

Also interesting how completely different the formal language in MBI is from that in "Us"... gah, I'm in awe.

A photo comic. :) I'd actually been wondering why no one ever seems to be doing comic based on screencaps instead of handdrawn artwork. This is beautifully executed and the dialog and caps are just hilarious. Hey, I have no idea who any of these characters are, and I was still chuckling throughout. Really worth checking out even if you're not in the fandom.

Called the revenue office yesterday and got a two month extension on my taxes. Am nonetheless wildly determined to face the unorganized stack of paper and get it over with right. now. Fun, fun, fun. >_< Okay, no more excuses...

I got my taxes in yesterday... the one for the state was so weirdly, stupidly complex. Why don't they understand, as the Fed does, that the easier they make it the more likely it is they'll get their doggone quarterly taxes?

You tempt me strangely with these vid recs. I'm working up to a binge where I'm going to download a stack and burn them all to disc, just so I can play them merrily on deadline nights.

Vids are really addictive. Can't watch them during deadline crazes though, 'cause they're too hypnotic - I just have to watch.

taxes... I got fb and am back at work, which I'm using as a welcome excuse to postpone the taxes once more. I just loathe the mere thought of spending a whole day wading through those receipts and numbers and, yechh. They changed the forms this year so it's gonna be even more complicated than it already was. Do not want. *whines*

Sure looks like that! The first things in the fandom I read/watched were Lim's vid, this cracktastic comic... and a penguin story lost_erizo linked me to a while back. My curiosity is raised.

Lim just set me up with a whole bunch of recs and 'Bones' is on hiatus for the summer, so what better time to dip my toe in a little.
