fan art: X-Files

I am once more sorting through my papers. Talk about work in progress. I came across a whole bunch of X-Files character studies. Why should they rest in a folder gathering dust, I thought. Any x-philes among you? (Or perhaps ex-philes...)

Hi, boo. I'm arriving at SD at 5:ish on the 17th. I'll meet you.

You're a brilliant inker, but the one thing I'd say is that with likenesses, avoid such a sharp line. It doesn't covey the immediacy people need. This doesn't apply to other types of art, just dumb comics.

And anyway, they'll mob you for this. :D

Hey! I'll be there around midnight on the 17th if there're no delays. The hostel website said something about newly refurbished private rooms? Does that mean, no squeaky beds this time? *mental note: remember to pack earplugs*

(But... those sharp lines, I love them so... and I can't do them in kid's books *pouts*)

Whoo! Fianlly a vacation! We're there! We should actually start thinking about what we want to do with our glorious tourista freedom. I hope there are no kelp blooms at the seaside.

(Speaking of seasides, Sea World is pretty cool, but the last time I was there they wanted an *outrageous* amount of money to get in -- like, $40 or $50. :( It's offensive.)

Oh, don't pay attention to me. I was trying to offer something aside from my usual awestruck drooling, something constructive to demonstrate that I was paying keen attention rather than tossing off empty effusions, but it came out all wrong. You're freaking brilliant, and watching you mine terrific likenesses from such economy is like watching a miracle worker multiply loaves and fishes. :D I only wish I could do that.

Yikes, Sea World is 54 bucks. Last time I was there (in '90), it was 20 dollars and I already thought that was expensive as hell. Though I was a student and chronically broke. Maybe we're lucky and the folks at the hostel will be doing a trip to Sea World just when we're there, so we could squeeze in with a group rate or something.

I was too lazy these past days to deserve a vacation. This weekend I must get some work done.

No, no, concrit is always welcome! I'm still profiting from when you commented on my tendency to make the heads too large. I knew I was doing it, and yet it slipped under my own radar. I mean, I'm still doing it a lot (it's ingrained, man) but I use the computer to correct it afterwards ^_^.
