Rec of the day

All things being equal, I'd rather be in Philadelphia by [archiveofourown.org profile] meinterrupted
Summary: Darcy didn't sign on with SHIELD to be a hero. Too bad a group of bank robbers didn't give her a choice.
Gen; Darcy and OCs (and Steve, Tony, Phil Coulson); rated M; 8871 words

bonus rec for Hobbit fans: A whole bunch of dwarves (and a hobbit) by [deviantart.com profile] juliedillon

I'm actually quite looking forward to the next episode of The Americans. I should thank that one secretmaker on fandom_secrets who dissed the show because of the immorality of having KGB protagonists. Thanks for the rec, anonymous wanker.

Another day without a hint of sun. The only sun I saw during the last week was about 20 minutes all in all, four or five days ago. At least I was rollerblading during that narrow window so... yay. :/
Forecast promises sun in a few days but I don't believe them any more because they've been doing that for the last two weeks and turns out they were lying.
I'm so looking forward to climbing without wet shoes.
I'm looking forward to actual sunlight. $ยง"%# darkest winter in ages. This is the kind of record I can do without.

I think your twenty minutes of sun are more than what I've seen the last week. Though I noticed a patch of blue sky yesterday. But at least February is almost over, and surely March *has* to be better.

(PS your dA link is messed up.)

I read somewhere that the rainfall distribution over the year is supposed to change due to climate change, with dryer summers and wetter winters here. But yeah, I really hope that it won't mean that it'll become the default for the sun not to be seen at all for months on end. The average lack of sunshine in winter is quite enough. It getting even darker in winter on top of worse storms and deadlier summer heat waves would be just overkill. Climate change: all your seasons will suck more. :/
