meme: fanworks year in review
This year I can finally do this meme again without getting depressed.
January
The Fashion History Meme jumpstarted my muse.

Sophie Devereaux, Ancient Rome & Winry as a medieval lady
Spike in a Zoot suit (& two Leverage sketches)

February
Fight Bingo #2: Knives

more fashion history:
Faith, slayer of the vampyres
Ronon in Ancient Greek battle dress
Ronon as a Spartan soldier
Sketch: Parker teaches Hardison how to skateboard

March
more Leverage character sketches
April
Leverage Bingo #1: Nate and the Top Hat Job

June
Fight Bingo #3: Natasha saves Clint's ass
Sketch, and final version

art for casestory: Riddle me this

Nick Fury w/bazooka

July
Clint & Natasha character studies

August
Black Widow & Hawkeye, in action

September
more Hawkeye sketches

October
more Avengers

character studies: Aaron Cross and Jason Walsh

November
Lafayette sketch, colored

December
I made some stocking stuffers but the stockings are opened in January...
Mystery work & mystery work :D
Favorite(s) of the batch: Black Widow and Hawkeye in action
Best of the batch: Probably the same. I think technique-wise it's the most interesting and rounded, and it's as close to the picture I had in my head as I could hope to get.
Most underappreciated by the universe: My poor Batman fic illo. I'd thought Batman would be more popular. Maybe it's a tie with the Fury pic, but I'm also not entirely happy with the coloring of that one. I'm half tempted to print the lineart again and do it right.
Most fun to draw: Same as #1. The fashion history meme was also oodles of fun. And I really enjoyed trying a new technique for the Top Hat Job one (which blends watercolor and photoshop coloring; I think successfully).
Sexiestfic artwork: Once more I'm incapable of drawing anything that's not gen. Grab your subtext where you can.
Then again I find Clint and Natasha fighting in their form-fitting suits rather sexy by itself and I'm probably not alone in that...
"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic: still nothing. I beat them around a bit but nothing too bad. *eg*
Hardest to draw: That scene of Natasha and Clint sparring that I haven't finished for this very reason. So difficult to draw Natasha's fancy fight moves in just one frame while having it look dynamic. I should study her fight scenes in IM2 more closely.
Year-end squee: I'm happy that my fanart muse came back.
What's next: Still recovering from near-burnout so, not making any plans.

Every year I have this vague resolution that this year I'd manage to draw something regularly and then I fail at it, and like you say, then this kind of meme is just depressing. This year was particularly, bad.

Last year I had only two pics, I think. I didn't feel like doing the meme then.

Though this year had started well, fanart-wise, with me drawing and posting fanart on January first even, and then some drawbles in January, it then went downhill from there, along with my non-fannish year, really. Though I participated in two exchanges in December, so maybe next year will be better again.
