fanart: Black Widow & Hawkeye, gen-ish, finished

I ended up inking that earlier sketch. The stark contrast technique worked out quite interesting.

Third fill for my Fight Bingo line, for the prompt "Mixed Sex": Black Widow protecting Hawkeye (the two of them protecting each other, really) is something I can't get enough of so here's my contribution. :)

Thanks. I was scribbling arount with my marker, kind of convinced it wouldn't work, and then I stopped and went "hey, that actually looks pretty cool." I love trying out new stuff on fanart.

Very cool, though I wonder why we don't see any splash of blood on Hawkeye if he has been wounded. Or is none of it his blood, and he's just knocked out?

It's in his back? I don't know, I've been wondering but couldn't decide whether it needs a patch of blood on this clothing. Do you think so?

Yeah, I like it better with the little bit of added red it has now. For me it makes the narrative clearer to see where the wound is. It also sort of gives a line to draw the eye from one big red area to the other. Before I really noticed Black Widow's lips, because my eye was drawn to that tiny bit of red, now it is more balanced.

Yeah, you're right, it actually works quite well in directing the eye and it's clearer this way. Excellent, I'll leave it like this then.

Cool! Badass Natasha is always awesome. Love all the little details and the simplicity make the scene even more emotional. Beautiful job even though you can't help but think poor Clint.

I love badass!Natasha. Actually I love badass!Clint too, I wanna do one where he covers her with his bow or something like that. And I also want to do one of Fury with billowing coat and possibly a bazooka. And I figure the Hulk makes for a fantastic model for anatomy studies. But I have to get some work done first...
