I just got back from watching the Big Damn Movie. Sooo... that Firefly series you all speak of... I hear it's good, yes? I think I'm ready to watch it now ;o).

I'm hooked up to BSkyB, any chance they're starting a rerun on one of Sky's channels right about now? That would be good timing. I'm rather looking forward to hearing everyone's real voice. I had no choice but to watch the dubbed version (yeah, I know... Dubbing! We shall speak of it no more *pphht*).

Still. Good movie, dubbing or not. I like.

One of the good thing of living in a small country is *no dubbing*. Frankly I can't not understand why people wants dubbing?. Even if the actor were speaking in mandarin, would I still prefer no dubbing

Get the DVDs, they're out in Germany now was well. So worth it!

Ah, good tip! I just saw someone on amazon sell the UK box set, and didn't hesitate long.

Can't wait to see the episode commentaries and the blooper reel. I hope Joss and some of the actors are doing the commentaries, and not just the writers. I saw the whole bunch, Joss and all the actors from the show, in San Diego. They looked like a fun bunch.

Yeah. I want to watch the whole series, then watch the movie again. Should be interesting. That one scene... you know, leaf in the wind... of course that's bound to have a lot more impact if you know the show and the characters. (As it were, well, it was still effective. Because at one point near the end I was pretty convinced Joss'd kill half of them.)

It's annoying. And there's no way to escape it, they dub everything. It's an industrie, and it's not going anywhere. But at least in recent years they've started to show certain movies in both English and German. Last week we got to see Harry Potter in the original (fortunately... the only thing worse than dubbing is dubbing done by kids.)

btw, IMHO the series is better.

I can't wait to see what it's like. I'd thought the series is probably even better than the movie - I imagine Joss had to make quite a few concessions to make the movie understandable for viewers who don't know the show. I'm amazed he pulled it off.

I want to watch the series now, then rewatch the movie again (but in the proper language this time). My DVD set is already on its way but we'll probably wait with the Firefly watching until E4 has finished airing the first season of 'Lost', which me and the roomates somehow got hooked on. And we're still doing that chronological AtS/BtVS watching extrapalooza (AtS is over, next on the menue: Welcome to the Hellmouth - boy, after just having watched Not Fade Away, seeing the Buffy season1 characters again is gonna take some getting used to.)

Ah, right. (I coyly averted my eyes everytime someone said 'Serenity', so I wouldn't get spoiled at the last moment.)
