Just postponed my climbing date for the evening. I'm saying this almost never but - it's too hot to go climbing. My friends heartily agreed. One used the word 'suffering'. Me, I'm ridicilously happy with the weather even if it's, okay, a bit extreme. It's not gonna last much longer though so I'm enjoying every sweat-soaked second. And taking a cold shower about once an hour. That's the stuff. :)

We're gonna shoot some arrows tonight. Archery is about the only sport you can do in these conditions.

I'm with your friends. Suffering is right. Though just a few days like this is not too bad. And for here the forecast says it's going to get cooler by Tuesday already.

For me it starts to become true misery when temperatures like this lasts so long that it won't cool down at night anymore, like in that awful heatwave a few years ago. Right now I'm not even feeling lethargic yet, then I had afternoons where I could do nothing but sleep, yet not even shifting all activity into early morning and late night helped much, because the temperatures persisted.

Yeah, living directly under a dark colored roof with all the windows facing south-west ward and no chance for cross-currents when opening said windows is no fun. Back then I actually left my front door ajar at night after also opening windows in the stairwell just to get some chance for a breeze. That was not ideal.
