The weather is so nice and sunny, she said. You don't even need to wear a jacket over your t-shirt, she said. *hack*cough* All year, not as much as a sneeze... but right before the Book Fair, I have to go and catch myself a stupid bronchitis. Well, I'm doing the reasonable thing and doing Book Fair Light. Cancelled my appointments for Wednesday, instead catching an early train on Thursday morning*. Ironically, I immediately started to feel better the moment I'd done that. With a little luck, the annoying cough will be mostly gone by Thursday.

On a less whiny note, I've got this silly little comic drabble sketch. (posted to [livejournal.com profile] bones_theseries last week - if you've already seen it there, no need to click.)

I didn't even know you were gonna go (until I read selena's post the other day). Which day will you be there? Anyway, FWIW, I'm not exactly the best company right now. At the moment I feel fine as long as I a) don't move too much and b) don't talk too much. So, pretty boring to be around.

Man, I miss going to the gym. And the sauna afterwards.

*points to Cyn's comment below* Next yeah, yes?

Wonderful liknesses! I love it when you wax all Milt Caniff.

*points to Mona's reply* Next year we should all three try to get together and hang.

Ah, *blushes*. It's interesting that you're saying Caniff, seeing that he's never been an influence for me - though I'm still coveting that complete issue of 'Terry and the Pirates', 'cuz it's a classic, and he was a hell of a storyteller, and I have only two albums so far. But yeah, I actually only heard of Caniff when I did a report on comics for art history... the history and style of comics in America has always been rather separated from the European. My influences are in the Franco-Belgian comic scene (almost painfully obvious in my earlier stuff, but I think not so much in the recent works... at least I see nothing of Derib when looking at the sketch above.)

Have you heard of Derib, by and chance? And, I'm curious, do you remember which artists influenced you most?

Totally with you on the hanging-out-together. Next year in Frankfurt. Maybe we can convince Mona to come to SD with us.

Huh. An email I sent to you yesterday just came bouncing back. Nothing terribly important though... trying to resend.

adorable, and ITA!

Although they re-ran the man in the suv tonight. I didn't know they were going to re-run it, and missed the first 20 minutes (cough. the zipper scene. cough.).

Still: old bones is better than no bones at all!

Feel better; bronchitis is heavy, dude, as they say in SoCal. Take care of yourself.

That zipper scene is the best moment! No wait, not true. My favourite moment is after he shot that man... the look on Booth's face. Aaah.

Did you see, Setje posted new promos on her site.
