avengers fanart sketch
Another one for Fight Bingo; finally getting there. This is for the square "Mixed Sex" and, what can I say, entirely self-indulgent:

It's still only a sketch but a coherent scene so I decided that counts towards my bingo line, 'cause I want to try a few other things right now. Probably gonna color this one later. I was thinking of doing it in stark contrasts of black and white, with only red in a few patches of color. Don't know if that won't lose too much detail, but worth a try.

I absolutely adore Natasha and Clint's friendship in the movie, and Natasha is the bomb.
Couldn't agree more.
Nah, I'm not on tumblr. Not my scene, I find it really hard to follow discussions and I don't like the tendency to just take art without asking and reblogging it in full instead of linking - something people would never think of doing if it was fic. (But I think that is going to be a result, down the line. LJ already has a share button and it's only a matter of time until fandom newbies will use that to reblog fic and meta.)

Yeah, I finally got a tumblr and I have to admit that I finally sort of get the attraction. But it makes me nervous -- I don't feel like I understand how it works, etc. I only ever reblog stuff and I try to make sure it references the original creator but I find it confusing so who knows. :(

See, linking back to the original creator is a step in the right direction but from my pov... I still don't get the hits, I still don't see the comments. The only way that would work is if people reblogged only preview pics, thumbnails. That way the creator would get the hits, and retain control of the image. Cause as it is handled now, one completely loses the ability to take it down, or put up a better version. I sometimes edit my fanart months after posting and put the new version up on my scrapbook. But the tumblr versions remain unchanged. That all bugs me.
