This page was spikey. Trickier than I thought. Eh, I'm gonna let it simmer a bit. Maybe later I'll fool around with the colours in Photoshop a little more.
eta: so weird... I changed one 'poof' from red to blue, suddenly the colour scheme clicks for me. Finally. *phew*

But I wanted a greenish page in there *pouts*. In my inner mind, the walls of that lair looked just like this... besides, I want a kinda unique and different basic colour for each page. Have to figure out what to do with the last one.

I love the jump-kicking PuppetMan.

So how many pages do you have left, anyway?
I'm dying to see the whole thing stringed together! :)

Then there are still a dozen details to be tinkered with, and I have to re-letter a page or two where I lettered on transparent paper instead of normal one. It looks just too different.
I'm looking forward to seing it finished, but... what am I gonna do then? I'm gonna miss working on it. Maybe I'll actually try to write that Angel/Kate post NFA fic that no one else seems to be interested in.

Oh, I so get that. But why not let her take over? It's a chance you don't get every day - a project you can tweak with as much as you want, with nobody breathing down your neck (except me) to just submit what*ever*...
I'm gonna miss working on it.
You can do another one! Hell, think about doing a long-running one, like a panel you do every week or so, and put it on your LJ! That would be so cool! Of course, I'll translate it and put it on my webpage as well ;)
Which as you know I'm dying to do with this one. As soon as you're ready, we'll snatch it up and broadcast it to the world (well, Israel).

Are you kidding? That sounds great. I'd love to read a fic like that. I really miss Kate. Why doesn't anybody miss Kate? She was great.

I know. Though I got to keep the inner perfectionist on some kind of leash... otherwise this thing will never ever be finished *grin*.

Maybe I'm lucky and I'll dream of a good plot. I really want to do something new after this one.
Kate... Yeah, I loved her right from the beginning, and it's such a shame she left in S3 (for the show, anyway. Good for Roehm, I guess). The relationship she had with Angel was interesting and there would have been a lot worth exploring. And I don't necessarily mean in a shippy way... though I could imagine that would have worked as well. Too bad. Hey, don't you feel like writing that story??? *pokes*

I've got a bunch of them still waiting to be finished...
but...
I'd write it with you if you want.... (tam tam taaaaam!)

Should we? Could we? I'd really like to try it. I mean, this comic is the first piece of fiction I've written. I wasn't even sure I could. But the result is encouraging, so yeah, I'd like to give that a try.

Anyway, here i am, haven't forgotten, and totally not ignoring you :)
It is a brave suggestion... we write a fic! i've never written anything with another person before, but i'm excited at the idea!
We should totally try it, Astrid.
We can start "small" - decide that we're writing a short-ish fic, and think about plot and characters, then will see where we go from there. Since the plot is your idea, what did you have in mind for Kate? And how did things end up after NFA in your 'verse? :)
Tell me all about it - i'm excited!

Then I gotta take care of that final comic page, hopefully next months. And then there's the, uh, thing... the thing we talked about the other day *grin*. I think that's gonna be time-consuming but once that's done, yeah, I'm in.
In the meantime I'll start to brood over it and take notes. Maybe I'll get some interesting plot ideas.
Speaking of the, um, thing, do you happen to have webspace somewhere not with a free provider? After reading the readme file I figured out the likely reason it won't work on my crappy tripod site. It's not large, just about 1MB, but it needs "a WWW account on a server that has Perl 5.002 available, with cgi scripts enabled". (check out the readme file if you have a spare minute... I have no idea what I'm doing, really.)

I'm really looking forward to the completion of your comic, too.
And as to webspace - i have none. Never had any - i've always relied on the kindness of strangers and free webspace providers. Furthermore, i know nothing about perl and such. Which is annoying cause i really want to know what going on....

Say, I booked at two-bed room at HI downtown. If something changes and you decide to attend San Diego Con after all, you're more than welcome to share. You have my email, right?

Oh, that's great! Thank you so much! I almost made a reservation myself the other day... I mean, Hostel no bedo wo yoyaku shiyou to shita... but then I read in the small print that cancelling would cost 15$ so I decided to wait with the reservation. So, good thing :).
Yeah, I have your email addy. I'll let you know as soon as I know. By now I think I really want to go. I was gonna reply to your other comment as well, I'm a bit behind (net-wise), taking a few days of 'internet light'. Kinda trying to make up for the week of worktime I lost when waiting for feedback... plus they want a couple of changes that all make sense but nonetheless threw me back a few days more. Good news, though, is that the deadline for the project I'm working on has been pushed to from May to October. Hee! (Kind of a major thing which I found out more or less by coincidence but hey, still very good news ;)
You know, you ought to get the application for a free pro admission
anyway, just to be sure. It's no big deal if they make you a badge and
you can't show up...
Yeah, I was gonna ask where I apply for that pass. Do you happen to have a URL or something (I haven't checked out the website yet)?
California wa totemo takai, desu you. Tomodachi taihen yoi.
Takai da ne... maa, Euroćga tsuyoku naru koto ha ii koto da ne. :)
And I'm gonna check into more flights and see whether it would be a possibility to fly from the US west coast to Japan. I had no vacation at all last year, so what the heck. And it's not that far so maybe that idea is not completey crazy. (Though I can probably meet Japanese people aplenty in California.)

For some reason I couldn't find the pro registration forms on the site, so I emailed SDCon and they replied with an PDF attachment, which I still have. Email me (I can find your addy) and I send it on to you. Then you can just print out the forms and mail them.
