fanart: Lafayette sketches

To get over this stupid fanart block I sketched a few character studies of Lafayette from True Blood*, because well... pretty!

It was fun and I think it worked, the block is gone. :) Next, Leverage. *rubs hands*

*(I'm not, strictly speaking, a fan of the show, I sort of watch it because my friends love it. Though I gotta admit I've actually come to enjoy this current season.)

I haven't watched True Blood but I love the sketches--there's a restful quality in them.

I've bailed on True Blood after the first season but these are lovely.

I would've bailed too, man, I found the first season more annoying than anything and even Lafayette and his headdresses couldn't make up for it. All my roommates were hooked though so I was stuck with that show while what I really wanted to do was check out that other show, Leverage. ;)

TB still has more than its share of annyoing or boring storylines, but much less than in the beginning somehow. It helps that they don't take themselves too seriously.

Those are awesome. Lafayette and Tara were my favorite characters on the show.

No idea. I stopped watching a long while ago because the show sucked so bad.

Wow, that was really not a polite thing to say. I'm sorry. I replied without thinking. I shouldn't be commenting in your journal trashing something you like simply because I lost interest.

I also should've explained that I was not spoiling anything. Again, my apologies.

Well, usually it bums me out when someone comes into my LJ to harsh my squee (because man, that happened a lot in SGA). So I appreciate the edit even if for once there is no squee to be harshed; I really don't like the show myself. I'm only watching it for my friends's sake. I like some of the characters and some of the plotlines but oftentimes it does indeed suck. And omg, I'm so over the gratuitous gore and sex.
