I was just getting frustrated (and cranky) because I hadn't been able to find any Leverage fic about Nate and Sophie in ages (whyyyy?! *sobs*)... but this morning I came across this post and it totally made my day. Two ficlets, spoilers up to 1x08 the mile high job.

That's because Sophie/Nate isn't nearly so common as I want it to be. I think fandom has mad love for Parker for being the not-girly girl of the show, because fandom usually gloms onto the not-girly-girl type. (I have a couple theories as to why.)

Not that I don't love Parker, BECAUSE I DO. But I love Sophie and I don't understand why fandom doesn't love Sophie as much as I and a few others do.

Parker, Eliot even more so, and OT3: that's where the fandom love is, just gotta accept that and run with it, I guess.

Is that an LJ thing? Though, come to think of it, ffn seems pretty Eliot-centric. Though ffn sucks in that it only lets you list two characters... the other day I clicked on a story that said 'Eliot' on the label and found a very nice team fic, featuring all five of them. Thing is, I LIKE Eliot, really a lot; only for some odd reason I'm not that interested in reading fic centered around him. I'd just like a little more variety.

Today a Sophie/Nate story was posted to one of the exchange comms, even by an author I know I like - and then I see it's got a trigger warning for my biggest dealbreaker in fanfic. So close.

Yeah, I know the feeling. ;) So weird, huh.

I love all of them, the whole team! I mean, that's really what the show is about... that they're so much better when they're together, the lot of them. Alone, they're broken.

Hm, maybe sometime I'll put together some team fic recs to post to one of the comms and ask for more recs in comments.
