fic recs (Leverage. And one FMA)

I just had the best time climbing! In the beginning I felt like I had low power but that may have been heat related... sweaty, slippery fingers don't make things easier, especially if everybody else has sweaty, slippery fingers too, and the chalk doesn't do much good except turn all the holds kind of soapy-slippery. But. Once the sun set and the temperature dropped a degree or two it was like everybody got an energy boost, trying out new stuff... there was a great energy all around. I climbed 17 routes (normally I max out at about 12) and what is more, a spiffy little 6er that was completely out of my range a few weeks ago was totally easy tonight. (That never fails to surprise me... the feeling that you must've grown an inch overnight because suddenly you can reach where previously there was just no way.)

Fullmetal Alchemist fic rec: Act Naturally by likeadeuce

Summary: Roy's newfound fame had less to do with his actual heroism than with an inexplicably popular series of films.
This made me cackle madly.

Leverage fic recs:

"No," Sophie says. Eliot nods once, sharply, and Parker does a rather good impression of one of those boggling-head-dolls, agreeing completely.

I can't even pick a favorite part of this fic because every bit is just perfect and in character, and makes great use of both 'verses.

I'm a total sucker for this pairing and their delightfully complicated, messed-up relationship, and this fic feels true to both characters. Snapshots through ten years of Nate and Sophie's international cat-and-mouse game.
