Um. I finally got the urge again to make some fanart. So, I had the idea to sketch a visual prompt for the monthly commentfic exchange at sgahcchallenges. Heh. This was self-indulgent and really fun. I've gone way too long without drawing fanart.

OMFG, are you kidding me right now? You can't be serious because it's not possible to be SERIOUSLY THIS FUCKING AWESOME. This is great. This is beyond great. This is... is it possible to get a print of this so I can actually hang it on my wall? I'd ask if the original is for sale but I probably don't have enough money to justify that. :(

I am not kidding. I want this on my wall. In a frame. With lights. If you were to, say, do an entire series of fannishly-oriented horse pictures? I would probably buy them all.

Um, the sketch isn't for sale, I might still do something with it. But I could send you a better-quality scan? This one here is just 200 dpi and the setting was too bright so a lot of the detail got lost. But I already made a better scan in 300 dpi, just have to make some minor tweaks to it. If you'd like a copy of that, just holler.

That is actually something I was thinking of as I was drawing this. Because, really, the one thing missing from Pegasus are horses, right? :D I decided they recently unburied a stargate on a planet where they'd bred them just like it happened on Earth (in some coincidental convergent development), and once those folks started trading with other planets, horses are becoming quite popular. That's my version of canon and for now I'm sticking with it... mostly because drawing horses is FUN.

Wow, oh wow. That is simply amazing. I love the energy in the horses, and your perspective is fantastic. Love the blurriness of the guy giving chase. Teyla is gorgeous with her hair messy, half-twisted around in the saddle.

Utterly fantastic! It's great on its own, but I can't help hoping someone writes a story for it. And, ow! Poor Rodney, not with the arrow again.

Marvellous! I love the sense of movement -- the rising dust, the horses' manes, Teyla's hair whipping over her face, Rodney holding on for grim life. Poor Rodney, though -- that looks like a pretty serious injury he's got there. (As if an arrow in the ass wasn't bad enough.)

Wow, this is gorgeous. I love Teyla's posture and expression - so competent and so pissed-off all at once. And the horses! The movement! The way Rodney's slumped over, holding on, trusting Teyla! So lovely. (In my head, the this story doesn't necessarily end in a gen place but that's a separate issue *cough*)
