Burns hurt. Rotten burns!

But I agree with you about the right-hand-left-hand thing. Everytime I get a ding (and it's often, because I'm absurdly accident prone) I take stock and find myself saying: At least it's not the drawing hand!

When I was working at the helljob I took out a dismemberment policy. Heh. It's designed for farmers but I figured, hey, maual labor is manual labor.

Yeah, not too bad. As long as it's in cool water it doesn't even hurt much. Just a bit of a handicap at the moment to take the bucket everywhere. A rather clunky accessoire.

I'd thought about that policy but was told that it's quite expensive. Something to mull over...

It was dirt cheap, the one I had. Something like $2.85 a month. Of course I got a small break as an employee, but mostly the cheapness was because it was a company that regularly insured farmers.

Anything like that where you are? Maybe an agri-insurance company has cheaper policies than one that regularly insures artists?

It's kind of like getting oil painting supplies. I get my linseed oil by the gallon jug at a hardware store -- about $3. It works just as well as the Grumbacher that costs $9 for a tiny jar at the art supply place. Same for masonite.

I won't talk about the fact that I *koff* clean my brushes with dish liquid *koff* -- because then you'll think I'm just a crazy cheap person. :D

Ai, self- insurance. I have to start thinking about that again. Bleh.

2.85? No kidding. What I was told about was more in the three-figure (DM then) ranges. It was completely out of the question. farmers, huh. Maybe I'll look into that. I'll have to think about insurance when I got more spare cash.

supplies: yeah, my friend recently discovered a wholesale art supplier. And what I didn't know, as artists we're entitled to shop there! Everything's 50% off regular store prices. Their catalogue is 2 inches thick. It's like christmasland :)
