Notes:I like to play my crack straight so my idea was to put our guys in a photoshopped background, give the whole thing the look of 'manipped screencap'. I quite like the result but it would've been so much easier to draw the background from scratch. (There was much cursing.) Maybe there's a way to speed up the process, I just haven't found it yet. The idea of combining photoshopped caps with drawings still intrigues me even though I remember, at the time, saying something like 'shoot me if I ever try this again'.

HA! This is hilarious! And so adorable! I love that Rodney and Ruffles immediately look guilty, Teyla looks annoyed and Ronon just laughs.

Muppet!Todd is AMAZING. As is Muppet!Rodney in the icons. He looks confused by his fingers, or the lack of a couple.

When I first started watching the show last summer, no one on my flist knew anything about, so I gave some of the characters descriptive nicknames that were easier for my flist to remember. Ruffles (obviously because of his hair), Dreads (also a hair thing), etc. I usually call them by their actual names when talking to other fans, but missed it that time. Now you know my (not-so) secret!

For what it's worth, the background looks perfect. It's absolutely noticeable that it's a real screenshot, and I think it gives the drawing that extra bit of authenticity that you were trying to achieve.

I think I'll grab the wraith and the Rodney icons. There is no other word for those muppets but *cute*!

Actually three or four screenshots that I stripped for parts. That's one of the reasons why I prefer to draw from scratch... it's so damn hard to even find screencaps that fits your purpose just right.
