A very happy Birthday to my partner-in-crime,
yhlee :o)
And, Yoon has just today posted a 3-page comic vignette for
winter_of_angel: Lacuna
Summary: Angel, Illyria, and memories.
A post-NFA scene that rings very true to both characters. I'd love to see more of that setting.
*** Speaking of comics... status report on our crossover comic "Synth": The final five pages are all pencilled and, thanks to
tkp's invaluable beta, ready for inking. I'm in the middle of inking page nine. I hope to have them all inked - and at least the first one colored and ready for posting - by the end of next week. <-- there, I set myself a deadline. I just work better with deadlines.
*** Also, I can report SNOW! Only a few flakes so far, but still... actual SNOW. Winter has been so insanely late this year, the temperature hadn't even dropped to freezing point until three days ago. The spring bulbs had already started to come out, it was high time for some frost.

You are tempting me to comic-vignette more of Illyria and Angel. They could have philosophical discussions and tea and fight crime!

You know, Illyria is really a main reason why I mourned AtS being cancelled. There was so much unexplored territory, it seems Joss had a lot of plans for that character. While I was never that interested in Fred once she'd returned from Pylea and got her sanity back, Illyria fascinated me from the first second. So much potential. Good thing there's fic.

Uh, isn't that the WORST time for frost?
I have some azaleas that are confused by the warmer weather and blooming early.
And weeds sprouting like mad in the middle of the still dormant lawn grass.

It's not exactly a good time, but the *worst* time would've been in two weeks or so, when the magnolias and all the spring flowers would have been in blossom. Usually mild winter means cold spring. Now, with a little luck the vegetation will realize that we're technically in the middle of winter, and put all activities on hold.
No frost is totally unnatural for this part of Germany this time of year. Weird, I always thougth I'd like living in a southern climate - I hate being cold, and I'm totally fine with temperatures of 100F or more (I hate air conditioning too) but after a winter without frost, I found that I'm downright craving it. I was riding my bike through the snow today, and I realized I'd missed that. It felt really refreshing.
