Oh, JennyO, you so crazy!

Funniest thing I've read all week. I do feel slightly bad for thinking that, and for linking to it... but then I take another look at that thing and the feeling passes.

Maybe she wrote this half-asleep and is gonna wake up tomorrow, take another look at it and go GAHH!! Who in their right mind *writes* something like that?

If she were only half as brilliant as she thinks she is, she would be ruling the world as we speak.

Hmmm. Come to think of it, that would explain a lot...

The only thing I don't get is, what's with this chorus of enablers who always post to tell her how right and brilliant she is? Are they just stringing her along for the yuks? They're not sincere sycophants, surely?

I know. I noticed there're less and less of them, though.

It's not like Jennyo doesn't occasionally have a point (not in this lastest post of course, but other times) but she invariantly buries it under so much passive-agressive, pseudo-intellectual BS that I want to disagree with her just for the heck of it.

I guess we owe the enablers a debt of thanks. If she ever lost her audience she might stop trying to educate us, and the world would become a lot less fun to live in.

Dude, I totally got that she was being sarcastic. I think everyone got that. I think people are pissed because she responded to some well thought out posts with derisive sarcasm suggesting anyone who dared say Torchwood didn't belong on the list (not that it was racially diverse, just that it didn't belong on a list of racist shows) was a racist, white-entitlement-whore, professional-victim, issue-avoiding cry-baby. Oh, who made her ashamed to be white.

You spend time putting thought into a post. Somone responds by taking the piss out of you and acting like you're an idiot and failing to answer the points you bring up. You're going to get annoyed. Nothing to do with being unable to tell she's being sarcastic. I don't actually believe she hates welsh people or hopes they're further oppressed.

Are we friends? Do we pal around? Then why is it you're referring to me in such a casual familiar manner as a preface to venting your hostility toward Jen and about this issue on me?

I strongly suggest the next time you attempt to correct me or anyone you make absolutely certain you have read exactly what they've read about the issue in question. I have read people who didn't understand the sarcasm, you clearly haven't. All that proves is we have different reading lists.

Now let me be extremely clear with you. There are only two people whose opinions on this issue that I care about in the least, jennyo and nostalgia_lj, and that is because I respect them both tremendously. Note your name is not on that list before you consider another extremely rude response to someone who has not voiced an opinion on this issue and did not ask for your opinion on a casual comment made to a friend.
