I started doing a Romeo And Juliet/Classics Illustrated thingy a couple years ago, and used Connor for the Romeo reference. That lass who played River in Firefly was the model for Juliet. :) I try to make my own fun.

Nothing came of it... I did about four pages and the man who owned the company was killed in a car wreck. I recently got a notice that the assets were being auctioned in a bancruptcy court. Pretty melancholy, the whole business.

Oh, that's depressing...

but the comic, is it up online somewhere? I'd like to see those pages. The casting sounds quite fitting, I can see those two in these roles.

I posted the pages -- or at least the character designs -- to TatF long ago, but they're still floating around my studio. If I get a moment I'll try to scan them and put them up on my journal.

The strangest thing about the company owner was that he didn't pay me forever, and then his number two intervened and I got a package with a check and a handwritten note about two hours after I'd heard he died. It was such weird timing, and so sad.

For some reason, when I was looking through Connor pictures, there was an Illyria picture, and I was like HOW come I never noticed she looks like an insect? So I googled red and blue insect, and that was pretty much the first thing that came up. FREAKY.

Maybe the Angel designers googled red and blue insect, that was the first thing that came up, and they designed Illyria's outfit based on that bug...
