I just read that SUP moved the LJ servers to Russia and I'm considering deleting my LJ. I imported everything to DW years ago and have been crossposting since, so most of the data should be saved.

In case I delete my LJ in a few days: I'm astridv on Dreamwidth and will keep using that mirror account.

eta: frick, I can't delete just like that, a lot of my images are hosted on LJ. It would take ages to move them all.

I can't remember for the life of me what I did with the photos or how I migrated to DW. Surely there must be an option. There is backup software for LJ. Software which could be used to reblog those posts to DW. Of course then you'd lose the comments. :(

I think when I imported my older posts from LJ I got the comments too, not sure, gotta check. I really don't want to lose the commments on some of my more popular posts.

I can't delete anyway cuz of scrapbook; if the SUP things derails further maybe I'll just stop crossposting. 99% of my art and photos is hosted on LJ.

Yes, when you use the tool to import entries the comments can be selected as well. I do not, however, think that the photos will be transferred, too. I only used scrapbook for a short time, thankfully, so it wasn't much of a loss when I migrated.

Image posts just hotlink to scrapbook so you can import photos posts without a problem, as long as the pics stay on scrapbook. But the moment I delete my LJ, all my picture links on DW would become defunct.
