Paddleboard Pics

Oh man, it's been half a year since I last posted here. There are so many distractions. I'll see if I can change that and be a bit more present here.

Anyway, this year I fullfilled a longtime dream of mine and got a paddleboard... they're making them inflatable now, so being carless is no longer an issue. I've spent a considerable part of my free time this year on various rivers in the area, and here are some photos. I hope they can convey some of the beauty and joy you get while paddling.




























I plan to go tomorrow as well... been keeping my eye on the outside temps and water levels and it's looking promising. :)

So much fun. And, hey, I'm spending a lot more time outside than I used to and especially this time of year when it's pitch dark by 5pm, I feel like that makes a difference for my mental state. The cold and darkness is bothering me much less than in previous years.

I had no idea either. I had rented one on my vacation in May and got reminded how much I love to paddle, so I decided to look into boards once I got home, and first thing I see online are inflatable ones. I have one in a medium price range (on offer for 400 Euro) and it's completely stable even if not inflated to full pressure. For a woman or smaller man, an even cheaper one would probably be plenty stable. They start around 270-300 Euro and that includes the pump and a basic paddle.

It's so convenient! It takes about 5-10 minutes to inflated, and then afterwards to let the air out and stow it back in its backpack.
