Hey everyone! Posting from an airport internet terminal. In Atlanta, ironically enough. I'm wondering if any writercon folks are around. Of course I'd have no way of recognizing anyone. Anyhoo, I'm tempted to spend my whole 9 hour layover surfing but at 35 cents a minute... better not.

You were in Atlanta? We were like ships passing in the night! You better attend next writercon, missy.

Yeah, we just missed each other by a few hours. I so wanna come to the next writercon! But, I also want to attend SD con again. Maybe if I'm extremely lucky, both will be on two consecutive weekends next time, which would really be the only way for me to catch both.

Now that I'm back and got my new computer up and running, I'm eager to read what you guys have been up to this weekend.

*waves* I'm up in Minnesota, trying to make myself sleep early so I can drive back home tomorrow. The publisher's picnic was great, everybody's great, but doing this directly on top of SDCon has thrashed me.

It was so insanely fun San Diego Conning with you again! I was sad to leave you alone. :) Did the kyack (?) thing work out? I'm zombified and can't find the strength to look it up: you know what I mean.

I have pictures! I downloaded them when I stopped off home to do my laundry. *g* I'll post when I get back.

I'm finally home, got here a few hours ago. Dude, they lost my backpack. Again! Hopefully it'll show up again, and at least I'll get it delivered to my doorstep. The thing was really heavy. Nothing irreplacable in there, either, except my t-shirts which I really love. Ah well. Other than that, it was a comfortable trip though, just really long.

I have pics too, I wanna post some right away. I just have to install all the necessary programs on my computer... my computer finally did its last trembling breath in my absence, so I activated my cool new one. I think I already love it, it's fast and quiet. Now I just have to install a dozen drivers and programs.

That picture I took of you under the arch at the mission looks really good on my small display, I want to see what that looks like in large.

Comic Con was so cool! I want to get crackin' right away and ink the pages I pencilled there, but I have to finish five pages of that book I'm working on. Darn, I really hope the backpack shows up again, I bought a block of the paper comics artists in the US use and I was eager to try that out.

I'm going to assume you have it back tomorrow, and if you don't we'll commiserate by sharing pics. I have a few nice shots of you.

The one thing I still desire is Norrington. No joy, not even on fanfic.net. *sad moue*

Ah well, it was a righteous con. And the tourist thing was the bomb, too. :D!

Oh, the kayak! I didn't do that, I ended up going to Ocean Beach instead. After hanging out with all the comics people, it was like a culture shock. ;) Surfer central. It was very pleasant; I spent the day swimming and pencilling. The ocean is nice up there, the waves are tamer than at Coronado. Like, Pacific Ocean 101. The next day I went to Coronado again. Ah, I already miss swimming in the Ocean. I think it's even hotter here than in SD, or more humid or something.

They totally did. That sorta stuff happens a lot, especially with backpacks for some reason. Most of it shows up again, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Though I'm pretty sure when the guy told me than they never ever lost anything? He was lying. He must've seen the murder in my eyes.

Oh yeah, could you send me those? I have only one pic with me in it. I'll send you those I have of you. I have to mail the guys from the hostel, too. We took lots of pics on our last night. And everyone was already making plans for coming back next year :)
