*curse* I checked the Comic Con listing and saw that I'm still not listed under attending professionals. I have a feeling that fax might have got lost - I was starting to get a bit suspicious when my fax journal informed me that the machine didn't dial the 001 when I sent the application. I did dial it, it just doesn't show in the journal which confuses me.
Anyway, that'd mean I'd have to register at the con, it'd cost me 25 bucks for late registration, and I'd have to bring all kinds of stuff to prove I'm eligible. Blah. I was hoping that checking the 'not the first time attending' box would do the trick. [eta: and what to you know, the minute I start griping, it arrives in the mail.]
---
But my taxes are done! Which totally makes up for lost applications. What's even better, I sorted through all my papers, every single folder, and threw out over half of it, and for the first time in years I know where everything is. I still had letters in there addressed to my parents' addy - that means those things must've been about 17 years old.
---
Comic: rough page breakdown is done. Page 4 begged to be pencilled even though it wasn't its turn yet, and is now awaiting inking. 5 and 6 are also calling out to me because I already know exactly what I want them to look like. But I said I wanted to post this chronologically so I'll do page 3 now, which has been quite resistant so far.
---
My new computer is finally here. It's sitting in a nice box to my right, I just can't bring myself to disconnect this one and do the change. I guess part of me doesn't believe that the new one will work properly right away. They never do. And I have to install all the periphery, and thousands of programs. At the moment I'm waiting for bad weather. The weather is just too fine now to tinker with computers.

Well, there're a few thousand professionals attending, so it's not really special. ^_^ But it has lots of advantages. [livejournal.com profile] jwaneeta gave me the tip last year to register in advance. I didn't know whether my kids' books alone would qualify me for pro status, so I threw in some of the lettering work I'd done for good measure. And that one Outer Limits tie-in comic from back in the Stone Age, which I normally don't show anyone, ever (because it's old and I was young and, um, yeah...)
