Well, now that Chloe Bennet and Brett Dalton are on the record saying the exact thing we've been arguing on tumblr all along, I wonder if they'll get called nazi apologists [aaaand, it's already happened, that was quick] and shitty persons for their troubles as well. I hope not, but it won't surprise me. Someone already called the writers shitty people so.
anti-Ward people, if there are any left: stay outta here.

They made all sorts of comparisons between Ward and Natasha, and I always thought it was such bullshit because no way was he as good as she was, not even close.
HOWEVER, if he was able to slide into the team and make them believe one thing when he was really something else, including May and Coulson, then I would be willing to give him that much credit. His deception was truly Natasha worthy and I had to give the show and Ward a TON of credit for it.
If he's easily (and we don't know this yet, this is just conjecture on my part) reformed, it makes me wonder about his ability to kill Hand with seemingly no problem, as well as other SHIELD agents. Many of the characteristics that are revealed about Ward after we find out that he's Hydra scream, to me, sociopathic, if not psychopathic, which is SUPER interesting. Can a sociopath truly be reformed? Are any changes he exhibits true character changes or are they simply things he believes he needs to exhibit in order to get what he wants?
I want to believe that anyone can be reformed- we see that as a theme in a lot of the MCU stories- but the level of deception and betrayal here make me wonder how can these characters ever truly trust him.
I think this could be very cool to watch, if they do it right. However, the show has been pretty up and down on stuff like this- some things have worked really well, some stuff has been pretty... not so great.
I don't want to be anti-anyone on this show, but from a storytelling perspective, I'm a little sad with a caveat of hope floating along behind me.
