Boletus erythropus, aka tomorrow’s dinner. A bunch of them are growing right on the other side of my street in an abandoned front yard. I just had two of them for dinner tonight… so tasty. I can’t believe my luck that no one in the neighbourhood knows how delicious these are.
Did I mention my book is done? It is done! Sweet freedom. Nothing pressing to do for weeks. Except a long-ass to-do list that includes submitting my taxes. But that can wait for a few days. I already went climbing today, and now I'm about to celebrate the ritual post-work Cleaning of the Desk. Then there's gonna be fanart.

Last year my brother's garden had a quantity of some mushroom his wife assured me was edible and tasty, and that she was sure it was a safe kind that she collected all the time, and I still felt apprehensive about the dinner I was invited to... Though I did eat some, after I was told that they had some the previous day too, and after all my nieces seemed to have no trouble, and I figured if even a then two and four year olds had no gastric upset, I'd probably be safe.
