Better Buffy Fiction Archive update

So, the BBFA finally has over 500 archived fics ...in other words, the perfect time for the archivist to retire from the whole modding/archiving business and devote the time to her own stuff. Uff.

I have 24 stories left where I never heard back from the writers. I guess I'll leave those to the future archivist. Um, if anyone gave us permission to archive their fic and it's not in here, most likely a mail got lost somewhere on the way. Please re-send?

Likewise, if you find your story in the ZZ section at the bottom of this page instead of in the archive, that probably means that some email or other didn't get through. In which case, please just mail us and we'll put it up. (page is viewable to list members only, sorry)

For something completely different, [livejournal.com profile] kisshoten posts about "The Man in the Morgue" in Japanese. Isn't the internet an amazing thing?

Thank you for your on work on the archive.

I just glanced over the titels in the main list. And think I can say, that I have read most stories in the archive except in the spuffy genre. And I must with shame also say, that I have given to little feedback to the writer I have enjoyed (bad puppy).

Oh joy, who need a life when one have work and fanfic

I'd guess I've read not more than half of the stories in there, so there's a lot left to check out. And many of my faves I have read so long ago that I've forgotten most of the plot and can re-read them when there's a dearth of new fic (is it me or is it getting much harder to find really great new stories?) Yesterday I got my hands on Vanessa Nichols' "Leaving Hell" and ended up reading it - still good the second time.

Thanks. Well, it's never really completed, but 500 is a good number that I can pretend it is, and extract myself (I'm a total control freak and it's hard ;o)

A nation (actually, a world!) of grateful readers salute you. You have done an outstanding job and I hope someone steps forward to take it over.

Thanks. World... sounds neat. It looks like I found someone to take over, too. And in any case those 500 fics aren't going anywhere. There're plenty I haven't checked out myself yet.
