On Friday's tv-guide podcast, David Boreanaz talks about Bones and more. He was in a chatty mood. Good, straightforward interview, I thought.

Possibly triggered by a conversation about dreams and tornados, tonight I had a stupid dream about a tornado. I remember vividly that the tornado was headed our way, so me and the people I was with got in our car, closed the doors tightly, and waited. As it occured to me that while that might be a good tactic to sit out a thunderstorm it's probably less recommended for tornados, I woke up.

*Fandom, what are you doing to me? I read that as mpreg.

For many years I used to have tornado dreams. Every time I had one, the tornado got closer to sucking me up, even though each dream was different. I haven't had one in ages though.

ROFL!

Recurring tornado dreams? Eh. I wonder what they're supposed to symbolize. I think maybe this dream doesn't mean anything special, except that I had tornados on my mind. They had one in Hamburg last week... just a small one but I was surprised; didn't think we get them in Germany. The one in my dream looked really realistic, too.

I never worked out what they meant. But I'm fascinated by tornadoes and even had a premonition about one that happened just down the road from where I was working. We don't get them often. If I lived in America I'd be one of those lunatics that drives around in big Ford Explorers with satellite dishes on the roof, looking for them *g*

Ooh, while I'm here... read any good Bonesfic lately? The Bones archive at DBFandom is up and running, but so far fic is sparse :o)

I haven't found many good ones, and I've been checking everywhere. I'm even checking out every little thing that gets posted at the pit of voles.

However, there are a few good stories already. I've made a post of recs a few weeks ago, I don't know if you saw it: http://astridv.livejournal.com/41223.html

This one is excellent:
Knight in Dented Armor (http://community.livejournal.com/thejeffersonian/11296.html) by Hematite Badger

And a very promising WIP, found on ffn of all places:
Two Bodies in Denial (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2872582/1/) by Sarramaks

I see that Laurie already asked Meyerlemon about O.S.O.K. Suggestion: what we do at the BBFA in case a writer doesn't want their fic archived elsewhere is, we post a link instead.

I have a few more short ones, but I haven't made a list yet. I plan to make another recs post once I got enough material.

(reposted because I messed up the tags)

Hey, by the way, are you writing any Bones fic yet? As you can clearly see, this fandom is in dire need of good fic writers.

Thanks for those! I liked the Knight In Dented Armour very much. I might ask the author nicely if we can archive.

Thank you for the lovely comment :o) I am actually thrashing out an idea with [livejournal.com profile] psychofilly for something quite interesting. Bones... with a twist. Of course I've got to get around to actually writing it!

I read it as "mpreg" too.

Yes, apparently I'm not alone with this. Time to bleach the brain...

Ha, I've been misreading it "MPreg" for so long, I don't even blush when it happens in front of people anymore...

And you just *know* I once read "Body of Spike" instead of "Body of Christ" *in class*, and of course, I refer to the photoshop layers as "slayers" and don't even realize it until people point it out.

Face it, it's a lost battle.
