Wow, apparently ffn is aiming to become completey useless and obsolete with their new anti-copy protection. It seems like they're actively blocking FLAG, I can't create kindle docs right now. According to the FLAG website: "FLAG is currently unable to connect to ffnet / fictionpress, and it now appears that they are deliberately blocking FLAG's infrastructure, including the new infrastructure which was provisioned this week to work around the issue until it could be sorted on their end."

Way to inconvenience your readers. It's almost as good as Disney producing DVDs that don't run on a computer.
Grmph.
Well, here's something nicer: photo of our latest baby hedgehog.

He's still tiny (that plate is cappuccino saucer size) and he was almost dead when we found him, but it looks like he's recovering nicely and you can practically watch him grow. Still way too light for hibernation but winter is still far away (hopefully).

I had no idea they were so tame! I mean, I knew you could keep them as pets (one of our neighbours has one, and it turns out that one of my students this semester does too), but I figured that was a special kind that had been domesticated or something.

You're lovely to take care of them.

I think it's allowed! It's possible that it's not and that people do it anyway, though. They're not really wildlife here in the same sense, though, because they don't exist in the wild. I've only ever seen them in Europe in the wild.

This makes me wish we had a garden or something, so we could make it safe for little hedgehogs like this. It is so darling! I'm glad you guys saved him. ♥

I'm only butting in because I've really, really wanted a domesticated hedgehog - they're different than the European ones (which you shouldn't keep as pets), so a lot of countries/provinces allow you to keep them as pets! Germany isn't listed in the Wikipedia page, so I don't know if it's one of those countries. We could have one here in the UK, except they can't get too cold or they can die, and considering we couldn't afford to keep the heating on all day all through the winter... no hedgehog for us. At least not while living in this climate. I'll have to make do with adorable pics!
