I started the new project. That means: Blank Page Syndrome. Spent most of today staring at the page and doing some lackluster research. Utterly unproductive. Usually this passes after a day though, here's hoping.

Bones got renewed, yeah!
this week's ep was a mixed bag, not entirely unexpected. I suspect the fact that this ep didn't quite gel is the reason it spent, what, two months in postproduction. Some fantastic scenes, and some that made me go wtf. I liked most of it but the ending somehow felt... off? Hm. And I really wish that while they were fussing with it someone had cut out the part where Brennan shoots at the skeleton. I'm tempted to learn how to edit my avi-file because that's just.so.OOC.argh!
But, some great scenes to make up for that. Most notably the one in the car... "You really wanna know what I've done, I'll tell you." Perfect delivery from both, so intense. Wow. Scenes like this are why I love this show.
Googling for 'mole people', btw, yields 152,000 results.
Note to TPTB: Yo, Fox, love you for renewing this show but please, stop juggling with the order of the episodes. There may not be a story arc, but there's character development and if the eps are shown out of order, the character arcs are messed up. That should be really obvious even to a tv executive.

I went running today, the temperatures were well above freezing and it was fantastic. It had just rained and the air smelled of spring. :)

(Anonymous) 2006-03-25 03:33 am (UTC)(link)That scene made me go, "Angel!" And yet somehow, Booth is entirely different from Angel. I cannot believe how far DB has come as an actor.
Hate that they're messing with the episode order. This scene would have been perfect forshadowing for the hospital scene in last week's ep. Also, the comments made by Hodgins and Zack about spending too much time with Booth? Perfect forshadowing for the Hodgins/Booth collaboration last week and Zack's attempts to bond with Booth the week before. Grr.
Have you seen the Zap2It article about the renewal? It's vague, but spoilery, so be warned--but very, very interesting.

Most of the time I don't even think 'Angel' when I see Booth. Except for the scenes in 'Two Bodies in the Lab' where he was with Hodgins. The way he looked and talked, I was getting flashbacks. Must've been the hair. ;o)
I'll check out the article. Spoilers be damned, I'm weak :o)
