I found this vid so moving, I went straight to Amazon and bought the movie, which I'd been meaning to do for years. I just watched it... it's fantastic. And the vid really captured the atmosphere and the emotions beautifully. The song choice is perfect.
You don't need to know the movie to enjoy the vid. The basic plot: set in Eastern Germany, a mother falls into a coma when she witnesses her son getting beaten during a protest. When she wakes eight months later, the wall has fallen and the GDR that she knew doesn't exist any more. But since any excitement could kill her, her son comes up with an ever more elaborate scheme to maintain the illusion of the old GDR for her sake.
