Ahem. I really should pick up a book every now and then. All the science and logic questions are no problem, but as soon as the topic changes to history I'm left to head-scratching and wild guesses. But seriously, the name of the first prime minister of Australia? That's the kind of stuff google is for. :p [eta: 't was Edmund Barton, in case anyone was curious :).]

Hey! Just saw you'd friended me and thought I'd wave hello while friending back. I also just re-read your superb Smile Time comic, on a rec from the [livejournal.com profile] buffyversetop5 community, and am grinning from ear to ear :D I have a cold at the moment and am now slightly worried about what might become of my nose with the sneezing...

Hi *waves back* :o)

I have a cold at the moment and am now slightly worried about what might become of my nose with the sneezing...

Now, that sounds like an interesting nightmare...
My beta joked that I should have Angel de-puppetize without the nose. (But I'm not that evil.)

Speaking of noses, you asked for ways to get rid of a cold really fast? Two words: Nasal douche. One just rinses the nose with a saline solution - no side effects, totally painless, cheap, and a common virus doesn't stand much chance against it. Works great for hayfever, too.

Ooh, that's one I've never heard before! Though possibly not quite as much fun as honey and lemon with just a tiny amount of whisky ;)

Yeah, weird. Seems to be not well-known outside Germany. Over here it's become fairly common in recent years.

honey and lemon with just a tiny amount of whisky

Yum. That sounds definitely better than what I tried once: Hot Beer. Really, really gross. ;p
