I answered the headcanon question in the LJ mirrow. I'm trying to think if I even have another example beyond that. I'm always fascinated when folks in these meme questions come up with elaborate headcanons that are almost little fics in themselves.
2 - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.
My mind was changed - or at least influenced - by fic quite often. Not so much by meta or just by talking to people; I can't think of any example of that. But I got hooked on Garak/Bashir (which until then didn't entice me at all) just by reading a little humor fic called Truth or Dare. Instant shipper. *g*
I actually looked that fic up a while ago and reread it... still cute, I can still see the appeal. :)
20 - Do you remember what your first fanwork was?
Smile Time: The Comic. I'm still ridiculously proud of that one. Not least because I wrote it myself. Telling stories with pictures comes naturally to me. Writing, that's a different matter.

And wow, that was your first fanwork? Mine are embarrassing, and I can't even properly pinpoint the first.

Exactly. Maybe that's a differente between writers and artists?
And wow, that was your first fanwork? Mine are embarrassing, and I can't even properly pinpoint the first.
Well, by that time I'd already been working in illustration for almost ten years, after studying it. And this wasn't my first attempt at comic. I've done over hundred pages of comic before that so by the time I did Smile Time, I got most of those beginners' mistakes out of my system. (My first comic page was a mess. Wow. I edited it for, like, a month before the result was remotely presentable.)

Looking back I think it was some sort of thinly disguised city social work for drug and gang prevention, at least we always met in these youth centers in "sozialen Brennpunkten", first some then quite dilapidated building near the central station, then in some sort of anti-drug project thing, where I (as sheltered comfortably middle class girl) would have never ventured, had I not seen the flyer in the library advertising this. I was somewhat out of place, one of the few girls and among the youngest too, but it was quite fun, and at the time I didn't really realize that I was not actually the target audience. Anyway, one year we did a fanzine together, and had an exhibition at the local comic con. On the downside they never gave back the original artwork to us.

(Wait, hang on, I lied about the first fanwork part... the first one was the X-files comic! Huh, totally escaped my mind. Since I did that for art school year before, it didn't feel so much like fanart but of course it is.)

Hmmm. Okay, SGA fandom already has thought up every possible AU EVER, I don't think there's anything left to invent. ;) My favorites were either Steampunk or fantasy AUs (Like Rhymer's stuff, or The Sacrificial Mage) or OTOH AUs that start in canon and then one moment changes everything. I'd want another one of those. Like, what if that mess with Michael had gone differently, what if they'd gone after Elizabeth in season four... something like that.
For Leverage I really would like a noir AU, with Nate as a disillusioned private eye.
Avengers... mmm hmmm mm... can't think of anything specific right now.

Wow, that sounds... incredibly cool! Did you just come up with that on the fly? That's just what I said to ratcreature above, about writerly types vs. artisty types.
I'd read that!!!

McShep. If you were in SGA fandom around 2009, you know why. :P
Over in the LJ mirrow I answered question 9, which also answers this one.
2 - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.
Other than Garak/Bashir above, hm. McShep, definitely. I never would've considered Spock/Uhura until the movie, it's the first Spock pairing that works for me in a romantic way. Before that I only shipped him with McCoy in a platonic way.

And I was sold on Spock/Uhura after the reboot too, although I can see a little of it kind of retroactively in some TOS eps.
