Back from the Book Fair where I finally met [livejournal.com profile] monanotlisa in person. She's as much fun live as on lj. And I'm not just saying that 'cause she offered to help with the archive :o)

Did some business talk as well, though I kept the talking part to a minimum. My voice held up okay, but one day was definitely enough. I practically lived off cough drops. That, and I had an excellent Thai salmon curry on my way to the station. Yum.

Mona, I got the pics. Thanks!

Cyn, uh, I totally forgot to take any pictures after we took those. Not there's that much to photograph... mainly books, lots of books, and a lot of people looking busy. And, inexplicably, hords of schoolkids.

So, I have no more pictures of the fair. But instead, to make up for the lack of book fair pics, here're a few I took in our front yard the other day. We had the most beautiful fall in years, and I'm glad that I took these before the weather changed.

The first pumpking I grew myself :)

The book fair pic is great. You look very chipper, considering how under the weather you've been.

The garden pics are ravishing. Your own pumkin! And your own fab toadstool! It was thoughtful of the leaves to turn exactly the right shade to match your patio bricks. :D

Photo posts=happiness.

The last photo is fantastic!!

And aw. Pumpkin! You must carve it, and light it with a candle from the inside!

and VERY impressive book fair!

The whole thing is huge and pretty overwhelming, eight halls with several levels each. Easy to lose your way. They even have a bus shuttle service and after a few hours and miles of walking, you're quite grateful for that. So, fun.

By the way, totally forgot... I got another package with stories from you (BtVS s7), thank you. Did you mean to send me two?

I'm so proud of my little pumpkin. My roomie is the one with the green thumb... me, I can barely keep track of when to water my plants. So I mostly have plants that don't need much attention.

A toadstool, is that what those mushrooms are called? And yes, the leaves, the bricks... the sun was just setting and everything was bathed in this red light. Lucky coincidence. Unfortunately it's a bit blurry because there was so little daylight left.
