The German theatrical release for the Bourne Legacy is September 13, a month behind the US one. I thought the studios had finally learned their lesson, with Avengers opening nearly simultaneously in several countries and, I think, Hunger Games as well?
And yet they keep saying, thou shalt not pirate. :/

Yeahhh. (At least the world has changed a lot since my junior high school days, where we got movies 2-3 years later. But back then we didn't have a fandom to keep up with -- by the time films get here, fandom has already produced 20 Big Bang length fics including an MPreg coffee house crackfic where everyone is mermaids....)

Wow. Seriously, how can they expect anyone who's really interested in that movie not to have seen it already by that time. No doubt a lot of those will still go see it in the theatre, but still, it's such a bad business practice.
I used to think that the dubbing process was the reason we got movies so late, but the recent experiments with synchronised realeases showed that's not the issue. I think they can get those babies dubbed in no time.

Oh, yeah. And forget about watching anything in the original language. I do not miss those days.
