wankwatch

WIP (wank in progress) at the Pit of Voles: Someone had the not-quite-brilliant idea of posting one of Doranna Durgin's original Angel novels, pretty much word-for-word. Probably just a matter of hours, tops, 'til the thing gets TOSed.

Pardon the stupid question, but what does TOS stand for?

I believe it stands for Terms of Service (aka the rules and conditions of a site, aka That small print no one ever reads)

Ah, I see. Thanks!

You mean one of the tie-in novels? What on earth for? Most of them suck...oh, wait, this is ff.net...

Almost all of the tie-ins so uninspired and OOC that I wonder whether the writer has seen at least one episode of the show... but the book in question (Fearless) is actually one of the handful I didn't put down after the first chapter. Unlike many of the other tie-in writers, Durgin comes across as a fan, not a hack. Her novels read like fanfic (in a good way :o).

Eh, that thing at the pit is still up. I actually got my copy out to compare... that person has lifted whole paragraphs, mixed with a few rewritten parts. I'm convinced it's a troll. No one can be so stupid to think people won't notice. Right? Right?
